Your ‘day to day’: The Validation Engineer will be part of our Quality Department and will report to the Supervisor of Quality Engineering. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing process, including equipment, instruments, methods, and systems are appropriately qualified and validated. Responsibilities include: • Lead and execute validation activities that are identified and required. Prepare all the documentation associated by ensuring the execution following the plan. Ensure that all deviations during validation activities are investigated and escalated when required. Propose action plans and ensure that corrective/preventive actions are followed and closed on time. • Organize and lead the Continued Verification Assessment and the re-execution of validation protocols according to the plan and procedures. Provide reports and other documentation associated with validations. • Lead and coordinate the change management process in the factory and ensure the validated state of the manufacturing processes, methods, and systems is maintained. Ensure the reporting and update of key metrics. • Provide support and act as subject matter expert / facilitator for the Quality Risk Assessment. Ensure the appropriate methodologies are implemented and mitigation plans defined and followed up by the relevant responsible persons. • Through effective communication and training initiatives, develop cross-functional and cross-departmental staff (in projects and validation teams) to ensure that validation projects are carried out according to internal Policies and Procedures. Ensure compliance by assisting in audits. • Participate in the creation/update of procedures, work instruction, and other Quality Documents required. Contribute to overall CSV best practices, strategy, and methodology. Recommend and implement process upgrades and efficiency improvements. • Ensure compliance with all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or another relevant field • 4 or more years of experience in quality assurance • Experience in quality assurance in tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar industry • Fluent in English • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Annual Base Salary Range: $86,560-$119,020 Application deadline: 8/29/2024 What we offer: We offer employees a competitive base salary and the potential to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
