Your ‘day to day’: As Quality Control Engineer, you will be part of our Quality Department and will be reporting Manager of Quality Control. Your role will be to provide full Quality support and expertise to others with the focus of Quality Testing Laboratories to achieve a high level of quality material, product, process, testing instrument, and methods. This includes: • Provide technical quality support and expertise to improve material, products, and quality testing instrument and method performance with the focus of Quality Testing Laboratories. Provide quality risk assessment and an accurate action plan/solution that immediately mitigates impact on Quality and Production KPI's. • Lead and execute equipment installation, qualification, and method validation activities. Prepare all the documentation by ensuring the execution following the plan. Ensure that validation activities are carried out and reported in a timely manner. Ensure that deviations during qualification / validation activities are investigated and escalated when required. Propose action plans and ensure that corrective/preventive actions are followed and closed on time. • Follow the procedure for calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. • Coordinate and support the establishment of related procedures supporting good manufacturing & laboratory practices and approve all procedures. Ensure that internal audits (self-inspections) including quality system, laboratory audits, and external audits are appropriately performed. • Ensure NC & CAPA processes are implemented, followed, and documented according to PMI standards. Investigate in a timely manner non-conformities and deviation, leveraging on lean problem-solving tools. • Follow change management process in the laboratories and ensure that validated state of the testing processes, methods, and systems are maintained. Ensure the reporting and the update of key metrics. Perform Risk Assessment for system changes and implement actions accordingly. • Implement and maintain the control strategy for materials and semi-products including acceptance criteria for each incoming material in accordance with PMI guidelines, procedures and statistical tools for sampling and analysis. • Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or relevant skills through demonstrated experience. • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in tobacco, food, pharmaceutical, or similar industry. • Advanced knowledge of International Standards (ISO). • Advanced knowledge of Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills, and statistical tool knowledge. • Experience with project management • Experienced user of MS Office • Fluent in English • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Annual Base Salary Range: $86,560-$119,020 Application deadline: 8/29/2024 What we offer: We offer employees a competitive base salary and the potential to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
