Your ‘day to day’ ~ Provide oversight on Sales Offices' (SO) financial transactions, documentation and reporting relating to sales, inventory, remittance, and expense transactions ~ Drive the assurance on the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the said transactions, reports, and supporting documents as well as sound judgment in cases of departure from normal procedures ~ Oversee the adherence of the SO personnel on financial controls and on relevant PMI Practices & Principles, thus, coordinating closely with Internal Controls, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Tax, and Financial Reporting on the design, development and roll-out of procedures and policies ~ Partner with the counterpart Areas Sales Manager and the SO Managers within the region of responsibility to provide timely decision support and ensure alignment of SO Finance personnel with Sales initiatives and objectives Accountabilities ~ Timely and accurate submission of reports and analyses by SO Finance personnel relating to Sales, Remittances, Inventory, Expenses, and various other reports and documents relating to Treasury, Tax, and Sales (e.g. Key Performance Indicators.) ~ Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in processing and recording SO finance daily transactions such as receiving of sales remittances/collections, safekeeping and monitoring of cash and checks, bank withdrawals/deposits, payments to vendors, disbursements/reimbursements of revolving fund, and recording of accountabilities in SO ledgers. This also covers proper review and monitoring of the SO cashier's reports including the reconciliation of bank and remittance transactions as well as conduct of regular stock counts in the SO warehouse/s. ~ High awareness of SO personnel on financial controls and on relevant PMI Practices & Principles. Coordinate closely with Internal Controls, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Tax, and Financial Reporting on the implementation of policies, trainings, and as well as actions relating to controls findings. ~ Collaborate closely with Area Sales Managers and SO Managers to provide timely finance and decision support including SO budget monitoring and early resolution of SO finance concerns. This includes effective cascades of relevant Finance procedures and initiatives. Ensure positive collaboration across all levels of SO Finance personnel with Sales personnel, as well as overall alignment with Sales objectives and initiatives. ~ Ensure SO Finance support resources are adequate and functioning efficiently including personnel, team structure, work tools, and the applicable SO sales system/s taking into account changing initiatives (e.g. price change), projects, objectives, and the mitigation of risks of business interruption. This includes providing adequate guidance to SO Finance personnel on SO finance transactions. ~ Provide timely and accurate inputs or propose solutions to Finance Management on ongoing initiatives, areas of concern, and potential areas of improvement in the Sales Area of responsibility. ~ Foster a strong team spirit, sense of belonging, and sense of being connected among all SO Finance personnel based in various geographical locations. Ensure the finance teams per SO are aligned with overall Finance objectives by adopting effective communication mechanisms including regular SO visits. ~ Support the Manager Finance Marketing & Sales in the consolidation of SO data from other Area Sales Finance Managers for reports not consolidated by Sales Finance HQ, such as data on Treasury or Tax matters. Will be specializing in certain matters while other Area Sales Finance Managers will each specialize on other matters as part of distribution of workload. In addition, will handle ad hoc projects and special jobs. Ensure an overall plan is in place -- in coordination with Finance Management and HR -- to address recruitment, movements, development, and coaching needs of all SO Finance personnel in the Sales Area of responsibility and that this plan is executed properly. Develop the Finance leads in SOs (i.e., may be Managers Sales Finance, Supervisors Sales Finance, or Sr. Analysts Sales Finance depending on size of sales office) to ensure bench strength and consistent performance with PMI competencies. Who we’re looking for ~ At least 12 years' work experience, handling or overseeing an accounting, financial support, or audit function, preferably in a multinational company; Only audit experience will not qualify ~ Worked in a supervisory or managerial capacity for at least 7 years ~ Exposure in direct selling/distribution company of a fast-moving consumer goods are preferred ~ Must be mobile particularly in the North Central Luzon region, willing and able to travel by land or air, as travel is expected 40 - 50% of the time, ie, 10 days a month, on 1-3 day trips (base is San Fernando, Pampanga) What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
