Take the lead on managing the fiscal and regulatory projects based on the holistic engagement strategy to streamline key stakeholders towards the common goal, which enables PMJ/PMI to achieve our regulatory and fiscal objectives. 2. Support engagement with key stakeholders, including our competitors, industry associations, academia, and related policy makers, to implement the strategy. 3. Support internal coordination with PMI OC and RHQ on industry issues and challenges related with farming, supply chain, and any other business issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Under the direction of project owners, support Mgr. Industry Relations for the development of strategies and workstreams on the company-wide fiscal and regulatory projects and take the lead on project management to ensure that each workstream is progressing and on track. • Represent the EA, coordinate internal stakeholders and take responsibility for cross-functional tasks in grey areas to move things forward. • Support Mgr. Industry Relations for building and managing an effective relationship with the identified stakeholders. This include managing the contract, making engagement materials, and arranging meetings/calls. • In collaboration with the business stakeholders, support Mgr. Industry Relations for engaging with regulatory stakeholders and find ways to set the direction to secure a fair and reasonable fiscal and regulatory environment. This includes participation in the Diet members study group meetings/political seminars and managing the relationship with the assistant to Diet members. • Organize the information/intelligence and make materials to keep the management of PMJ and PMI informed and updated on industry issues in a timely manner. • Keep updated on the progress of regulatory policy and strategy, and actively participate in meetings with OC and RHQ to ensure a common understanding. QUALIFICATIONS • Undergraduate or graduate degree • Degree, or work experience, in government affairs, government policy, and/or finance are advantageous. • 10+ years’ work experience preferred. • Communication skills in both Japanese (native) and English (business level) • Preferably working experiences for inter-governmental negotiations. • Understanding of RRP category and products • Understanding of legal framework and politics • Proven capability as a project leader, also from cross functional teams and projects • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and implementation skills • Willing, and self-motivated, to get things done.
