Your ‘day to day’ You will work as a 12 months’ fixed term contractor to support Philip Morris Electronics (Shenzhen) (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. in Shenzhen. You may be required to be engaged by a 3rd party service provider to be assigned to work at PMES. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our devices. Your focus? Tooling development. You will contribute to devices tooling development aspects to meet the agreed product mechanical design requirements and international certifications of our electronic devices. • Contribute to tooling and secondary processes development of critical mechanical components roadmaps covering the different RRP devices platforms in collaboration with the different stakeholders (Innovation, Procurement, Quality, Industrialization groups). • Demonstrated experience with plastic injection molding, metal injection molding, metal forging, metal diecasting, metal stamping and component surface treatments. • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to building innovative tools for RRP devices and revamping tooling design and standards to reduce production costs. • Project scheduling to first and copy tools, familiar with tool DFM, Mold Flow Analysis, CpK and PPAP qualification processes. • Define tooling strategy for production ramp up and sustaining. • Creative and progressive thinking. In-depth knowledge of large-scale production and manufacturing is necessary. • Respect company Compliance Policies, standards and laws and ensure that external partners respect them as well. Ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature at any time. We are looking for: • Bachelor Degree in Engineering • Minimum of 10 years product related tooling design experience in consumer electronics. • Experience in CAD design and simulation, ideally on SolidWorks • Experience in molding and diecasting and stamping processes. • Experience in managing/collaboration with external development partners. • Experience in functional verification and validation • Good communication skills and fluency in English.
