In Slovakia we are currently looking for an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail, self-organized and results-oriented, who wants to make a difference and contribute to building something new—we are looking for the Senior Communications Lead. RISE TO THE CHALLENGE You will be part of the CZ/SK Communications team and will report to the Communications Manager for the Slovak Republic. As a communications professional, you will participate in design and execution of corporate communication programs to raise awareness and increase understanding of PMI’s goals across all media and communication platforms and develop and implement high profile communication initiatives and engagement strategies to support the delivery of PMI’s strategic direction towards a smoke-free future. You will contribute to and execute external communications in line with the market needs and company strategy to increase PMI’s visibility in Slovakia. YOUR ROLE WILL BE TO • Contribute to design and implementation of effective communication campaigns for the Slovak market, identifying and targeting key audiences and driving content creation • Drive an execution of PMI’s external communications and PR campaigns and initiatives across relevant media outlets • Collaborate with other departments to develop content and drive media coverage related to activities that are relevant to their area of business responsibility • Create, manage, and oversee the development of communication initiatives designed to secure significant media and social media interest • Take a responsibility of local corporate website as its editor-in-chief • Coordinate and consolidate all information necessary to answer various media inquiries • Create, update, and share key information and backgrounders related to the business or to the portfolio of our smoke-free products This position is a key contributor to the PMI’s smoke-free vision. A successful colleague will leverage their thoroughness and diligence alongside their strong writing, content creation and production skills. An existing personal network across the Slovak media outlets is not a condition yet might be a plus that may further complement our existing media relations. YOU SHOULD HAVE/BE/KNOW: • A confident communicator and storyteller with a high degree of creativity and ideation • Possess an at least some existing personal network across the Slovak media market alongside with outstanding relationship-building skills • Be skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization • Have an experience working with and managing an external public relations agency • Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail • Possess excellent communication, organizational and planning skills • Energetic, self-starter with strong work ethic and excellent track record of success • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (fluent level both Slovak and English) QUALIFICATONS • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations • Good knowledge and expertise of the Slovak media landscape and long-standing media relations • Orientation in economic topics is an advantage (tax, regulation) • Experience in copywriting • Track record in crafting various media narratives with demonstrated leadership in driving them to tangible coverage • Strong ability to ‘translate’ the company’s key communications themes to be relevant to and understood by the Slovak media and ultimately by the public • Know how to balance tactical vs. strategic and be able to develop long-term impact projects while ensuring a diligent follow-up on any short-term tasks We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package such as: - 13th & 14th salary - Extra days off - Flexible working time - Supplementary pension plan (III. pillar) - Life & accident insurance - Opportunities for career development & growth - Work for a multinational company - certified Equal Salary & TopEmployer -MultiSport Card Legal gross salary for this position set at 2750€ / month
