You will be employed under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL), PMI’s affiliate in Hong Kong. Your ‘day to day’ • Ensure market adherence to PMI accounting policies and financial controls as well compliance with local accounting and statutory filing requirements in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore • Ensure completeness and reliability of books and maintain overall integrity of financial statements • Perform local statutory close and prepare local financial statement • Manage remote service delivery Financial Accounting • Request one off and market event specific postings from SSC • Review P&L and B/S delivered by SSC to ensure completeness of books • Responds to ad-hoc financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data • Supervise finance related services including tax, OTC banking, RoS, pension, insurance, dividend management, etc • Coordinate SSC services for the Cluster • Oversee the whole end-to-end process of annual inventory stock count and fixed asset count across the Cluster Local Statutory • Perform local gap close and prepare local financial statement for three affiliates • Prepare the filling documentation for local authorities • Liaison with local authorities and auditors • Prepare financial documents for meetings with local authorities and auditors Risk & Control • Drive execution of controls in local financial statement preparation • Identify ways to improve and drive efficiency of continuous risk assessment and implementation / execution of controls • Cooperate with Financial Planner, SSC, Tax, Internal Controls, Regions to ensure company financial compliance and adherence to the PMI accounting policies and financial controls in market and legal entity level • Review contracts for finance conformity Who we’re looking for • University degree in quantitative fields: Accounting, Tax, Finance or related degree • High performer with strong accounting capabilities. Ideally with ACCA or equivalent accreditation. • Knowledge and experience of working with USGAAP, Statutory Accounts, Risk & Controls (inc. SOX) and Corporate Tax • Strong leadership, communication and prioritization • Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with ability to multitask • Good communication and collaboration skills; excellent team player • Good command of written and oral English and Chinese What we offer Our success depends on our talents who come to work here every day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
