Welcome to Operations! Are you, besides a brilliant lawyer, hands on, business minded and ready to discover the fascinating world of Operations? We are looking for a Counsel to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Operations law team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering key legal support to Operations, together with the Senior Counsel Operations. This role will be based in Madrid, Spain. You will be mainly responsible for delivering key legal support to our Procurement Hub in Madrid, being their primary legal business partner for operations related matters. Our Madrid Procurement Hub is involved in procuring different global materials and services (such as logistics, warehousing, sustainability related projects, manufacturing, travel, fleet, security, consulting services), and as such you will get to see many different aspects of our business. You will partner with our procurement and business teams to find innovative and cutting-edge solutions to drive the transformation and build a smoke free future, while keeping sustainability at the heart of everything we do. You will also be entrusted with cross-functional projects linked to Operations. You will have the opportunity to work together with your colleagues in the Operations law team by exchanging best practices and further shaping our legal support model to PMI’s Operations department as a whole. Please note that being a Spain qualified attorney is not required for this position. Key Responsibilities: • Build relationship and partner with internal clients to create proactive strategies designed to avoid or minimize exposure to legal liability. • Help business partners accurately identify and understand the risks and consequences of the given situation or course of action. • Effectively communicate the risks and the consequences and develop alternatives to manage identified risks. • Identify and analyze legal issues, drafts key documents, present clear recommendations, and ensure legal compliance. • Maintain a culture with a high degree of emphasis on dignity, respect, and inclusion. #LI-HYBRID
