As Domain Architect for our Data Platform, you will lead the evolution of our company-wide data, AI, and analytics platform, which serves central teams and markets. An outstanding opportunity to transform and evolve our global data, AI and analytics platform that delivers data solutions to the entire company using cloud-native technologies. Engage with our customers across all functions and regions. Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and our security teams to build robust, scalable, secure, self-service industrialized data and AI platform solutions. The position will be part of the Technology Platform Architecture team, composed of other Domain Architects, whose mission is to define the strategic directions for technology platforms. The team is part of the Technology & Platform Engineering department, which provides cloud, data, network, security, end-user, and software engineering services to the entire organization. Your day-to-day Define strategic technology directions and roadmaps for PMI data platform services and communicate them to senior stakeholders. Define, evolve, and implement the roadmap of the global data platform domains. Define architecture principles supporting effective technology governance at global level. Serve as the enterprise-wide technical expert and a visionary in the data platform domain. Support major technology transformation projects by contributing and collaborating with other domain and solution architects, as well as our information security department. Guide the team of data solution architects responsible for the data platform, including the planning, design, and implementation follow-up of data platform products. Work on proactively identifying opportunities to improve and enhance product and service offerings. Examine vendor products to determine the best fit with PMI requirements. Work with software and hardware vendors, as well as outsourcing partners to recommend technology solutions based on vendor capabilities and product/service offerings to ensure services are operational, reliable, secure, and efficient. What you will need Education and Experience Requirements Education and experience requirements: Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent and more than 10 years of designing, managing, or supporting enterprise data platforms. Vision and strategy skills: proficiency in developing a long-term vision, associated strategy and set of roadmaps for the data platform domain in a large company, and communicate it effectively to a variety of stakeholders, ranging from senior management to solution architects and engineers. Platform design skills: proficiency in defining data platforms capabilities backed by some related solution design and operational experiences. The platform’s intent is to enables operational teams to build data products at fast pace, in a secure, compliant and cost-effective manner. Problem-solving abilities: strategic thinking, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and an understanding of how complex matrix organizations operate. Multinational experience is an advantage. Security: strong information security skills to ensure designed services are compliant with our company policies. Customer focus: strong customer focus to prioritize roadmap initiatives that maximize value creation for customers and the company overall. Partner engagement and leadership skills: experience in Senior Stakeholder engagement and direct/indirect influence is required. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, departments, partners, and vendors to define directions and determine the most appropriate solutions for the company. Expertise with the following elements: IT strategy definition and communication to senior stakeholders. Cloud data platforms capabilities and architecture (Snowflake or similar). Cloud hyper scalers architecture and services (AWS preferred). Data warehousing, stores and lakes architecture (Snowflake, AWS). Data architecture and modelling including semantic layers. Data engineering practices, including DataOps. Knowledge and graph databases (AWS Neptune, Anzo). Data management practices (quality, master data management, meta-data management, taxonomies and ontologies). AI/ML for structured, semi structured and unstructured data (RAG), MLOps. AI/ML hyper scalers services (AWS preferred). Data mesh and data fabrics constructs and associated architecture patterns. Information security standards (e.g., NIST or similar). Knowledge in the following areas is a plus: CISSP certification. Platform engineering practices. Product management or ownership (SAFe preferred). TOGAF 9+ certification. What’s in it for you?
