Your ‘day to day’ You will work as a 12 months’ fixed term contractor to support Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. in Hong Kong. You may be required to be engaged by a 3rd party service provider to be assigned to work at PMAL. As a Project Manager in the Program Management Office (PMO), your primary responsibility will be managing electronic accessories projects from their initial stages to full completion. This entails utilizing and adhering to the best practices of Project Management to ensure the successful delivery of projects/programs within the Product function. Your duties will include ongoing communication with customers, stakeholders (including the steering committee), both internal and external, to review project scope and provide regular status updates. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing resources, planning and scheduling project tasks and deliverables, as well as maintaining relationships with external suppliers. Responsibilities • Understand customer requirements and business needs for electronic accessories such as AC adaptors, cables, cases, softlines, etc. Participate in defining requirements, proposing solutions, and implementing agreed changes to achieve project objectives. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on project management matters. Ensure projects fully comply with PMI requirements and regulatory standards while utilizing best practices in Project Management. • Manage programs that require coordination across all Product functions. Apply project management, change management, service management methodologies, and usability practices based on established solutions, applications, and best practices, ensuring adherence to standards. Develop and deploy tools, systems, processes, and communication platforms that increase efficiency, speed, and support informed decision-making and effective execution. • Manage multicultural and cross-functional project teams, as well as internal and external resources for each project's activities. Provide training, direction, coaching, and motivation to the project team. Maintain regular communication with the team, and ensure the preparation and sharing of project status reports and relevant information to keep everyone updated. • Contribute to the business justification of projects by managing scope, conducting benefit-risk analysis, assessing budget and resource requirements. Provide advice and enable management to make decisions aligned with long-term strategies. Contribute to the resolution of project-related issues by analyzing, identifying, and proposing solutions to achieve project objectives. Regularly provide project status reports and information to project stakeholders and senior management. • Ensure the development and distribution of quality project-related documentation to all stakeholders, including project plan and schedule, project charter, meeting minutes and post launch evaluation report. • Allocate and manage resources for assigned projects based on historical information, input from other staff, and a general understanding of project tasks. Anticipate and mobilize cross-functional resources when necessary, such as procurement, legal, technology, finance, third-party suppliers, and consultants. • Resolve complex issues related to projects/programs by analyzing and identifying optimal solutions. Facilitate recommendations to achieve the best possible outcomes. Communicate and develop networks with management and partners (customers, suppliers) to enhance project efficiency. • Ensure that project information provided to management is realistic in terms of cost and timing to avoid financing problems and delays. Provide accurate and properly scoped data to ensure successful project completion. • Conduct all activities in compliance with PM Compliance Policies, standards, and relevant laws. Ensure stakeholders fully understand and integrate these policies. Implement appropriate processes to safeguard confidential information. Who we’re looking for • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science or Industry-related Discipline or equivalent, MBA is a plus. • Minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience or equivalent in a multinational environment, preferably within the consumer electronics or electronics accessories industry. • Demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Practices, Product Specification & Process Manufacturing Standards, Global Quality Systems (Procedures, Equipment Standards, and Work Instructions), Industrialization and manufacturing processes, and Procurement & Supply Chain practices and principles. • Proven experience in the consumer electronics sector as well as manufacturing, experience of leading sizable cross-culture teams and remote teams. • Strong presentation skills and excellent command of the English language are essential. • Solid Project Management • Proficiency in risk management and mitigation, combined with organizational savvy.
