As a Mechanical Technician in our manufacturing operations in South Africa, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the mechanical technical conditions of our production equipment. Your primary focus will be to achieve production and quality requirements while adhering to health, safety, quality, and production standards. You will contribute to establishing team capabilities and knowledge on the line process, ensuring flawless operations. Your Role: • Act as the first contact point for incident solving, performing basic verification checks. • Work closely with team members to ensure optimal internal and external consumer satisfaction, using global manufacturing tools. • Ensure equipment is in top condition to achieve production goals. • Follow health, safety, and quality standards to prevent any issues. • Work with the quality department to uphold product integrity and prevent incidents. • Collaborate with your team to enhance customer satisfaction. • Suggest and implement improvements for maintenance activities. • Be the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving incidents. • Support equipment installation and modifications. • Use problem-solving tools to eliminate losses and improve processes. • Complete necessary forms and make timely data entries into the information systems to ensure product traceability and equipment intervention. • Take ownership for the completion of your training plan in alignment with the Qualification Matrix requirements. Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanics Technology (or related courses). • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role. • 2 years of Mechanical Technical experience within a high-volume consumer goods manufacturing company. • Computer literacy in SAP, MS Word, and MS Excel is preferred. • Ability to organize maintenance activities in line with the maintenance schedule, considering material and staff availability. • Working experience in integrating new technologies and control devices on the equipment.
