Your ‘day to day’ You will work as a 12 months’ fixed term contractor to support Philip Morris Electronics (Shenzhen). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. in Shenzhen. You may be required to be engaged by a 3rd party service provider to be assigned to work at PMES. Being a domain expert in Manufacturing Testing, you will take the ownership for manufacturing test system development for NPI and sustaining programs, to ensure test solutions readiness for high volume production; With experience in development of automated test system including design of electronic circuits, test software development and test hardware integration to attain full test automation to ensure effective new product introduction cycle and ramp into the mass production phase. Responsibilities: • Responsible for delivering best-in-class manufacturing testing methods and equipment specializing in SW development and test hardware integration, work with multi-functional NPI teams, R&D, external development partners and contract manufacturers for technical readiness of the mass production test solutions. • Standardize the test strategy amongst the different product categories, technologies and suppliers to ensure high product quality and manufacturing consistency. • Early engagement in product and technology development. Collaborate with R&D teams to develop measurement systems, test equipment and to derive test requirement specifications for module and product level. • Take ownership of manufacturing test system development and equipment designs - including requirements, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, multi-functional reviews, and production release. • Conduct optimization of the test limits and validate test systems using statistical tools. • Support product and technology transfers between manufacturing and supplier sites. • Support ongoing production with new process development and PPI (Product and Process Improvement) in the areas of Manufacturing Testing. Who we’re looking for • A university degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent is required • Solid relevant work experience (10+ years) as a Lead/Principal Engineer, or similar position. Deep understanding of manufacturing testing and measurement system with strong system engineering approach, experience to work with R&D and engineering teams to deliver advanced test manufacturing solutions for high volume production in consumer electronic products (PCBA and FATP). • Experienced with design and testing of PCBA and HW, analog and digital, sensor technology and vision systems, product traceability and security, automated product testing, equipment validation and buy-off. Good knowledge in electronics circuit and test instrumentation. • Solid knowledge in test software and firmware development with ability to write test software, conduct code reviews and debug software issues. Proficient in LabVIEW, TestStand and C/C++. Knowledge in Python and other relevant programming or scripting languages will be an added advantage. • Sound knowledge in test method development, test system integration and implementation into production test process. In depth understanding of product FW and HW design and processes. Install and commission test programs and systems. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities across different manufacturing sites and suppliers. • Strong leadership to drive supplier’s engineering teams and external development partners.
